Contractor notes
  • Room: Confirm living room dimensions, existing conditions, and finish scope before pricing.
  • Layout: Confirm sofa depth, walkway clearance, and whether existing outlets support the furniture plan.
  • Lighting: Verify fixture locations, switching, and whether added sconces or ceiling lights require new electrical runs.

The artifact

The brief is the point. The image opens the conversation.

Every generation returns one of these. Save it, share it, or hand it to a contractor. The format is the same whether the project is $500 or $50,000.

Questions

The honest answers.

Renovations are decisions made under uncertainty. We try not to make ours worse.

Is this a construction drawing?

No. Every RenoBrief is a planning concept: a discussable brief that a contractor can quote against. We do not produce code-compliant or stamped construction documents.

How accurate is the budget range?

Budgets are calibrated to regional remodeling averages and the materials in the brief. We show a range, not a number. Your final number depends on contractor selection, permits, and material lead times.

Do you store my photos?

Photos are encrypted in transit and used to create your renovation brief. Saved projects remain available in your account history.

Can I share a brief with my contractor?

Yes. Every brief is designed as a one-page handoff with scope, materials, budget range, and contractor notes.

Which styles are supported?

Five primary styles in MVP: Modern, Japandi, Minimalist, Farmhouse, and Quiet Luxury. More style controls can be added as the tool page matures.
